The sea of Salina is one of the prides of this island, in fact, for the seventh consecutive year Salina has been awarded the five sails of Legambiente. This chapter aims to provide effective information for those who, wandering around the island, need information on where it is possible to swim, sunbathe or simply relax. The information provided concerns the characteristics of the beaches and the species that can be observed while snorkeling and how to get there.

SANTA MARINA SALINA SEASIDE BEACH

This is the first beach you come across when you arrive at the port of Santa Marina Salina. It is the ideal place for those who want to take a relaxing swim and at the same time not move too far from the center, or to take a last swim before leaving the island. Starting from the Piazza di Santa Marina, the promenade begins, here the beach begins with medium-sized rounded pebbles and, heading to the left, the beach continues with a plateau of petrified concrete equipped with ladders that make it easy to enter the water. The seabed is characterized by rounded stones, little sand, and the proximity of a breakwater barrier ensures that the water is always calm and therefore ideal for children. In part of this beach, an anti-jellyfish net is positioned in the summer.
